I'm finally reading this right now! Feels sympathetic with [[analogia]] in how Kimmerer oscillates between scientific lesson, personal story, and philosophical treatise. I've enjoyed reading it thus far, and I consider the chapter "Learning the Grammar of Animacy" a must-read.

I think I'm on Kimmerer's wavelength with my writing on our inability to value systems properly, and I certainly see her and Evelyn Fox Keller's essay and book "The Century of the Gene", which I've written about here.
