The Origins of Form
The Shape of Natural and Man-Made Things. Why They Came to Be the Way They Are and How They Change
A very short treatise on naturally-derived design, or biomimetic design—er—I don't think there is a great single term for what this book is calling for. "Ecofriendly" seems way off the mark. It's something more about listening to nature. It has echos of braiding-sweetgrass in that it weaves together (sorry) analytical and spiritual sensibilities in its design advice. Great read, a little off my frequency at points but worth absorbing.
